Veterans Day at Malcolm X College
November 15, 2007
Malcolm X College (MXC) hosted its 10th annual Veterans Day celebration Thursday, November 15, 2007. The Malcolm X College family said "Thank you" to the men and women who have protected our lives through military service.
Scheduled events of the day included opening ceremony parade in review, the lighting of the Malcolm X College Veterans' memorial eternal flame, a five high school drill team competition and V.I.P Luncheon. The guest speakers were SGT. E5 Ernesto Borges , Attorney at Law and SGT. E5 Bernard Williams, former Malcolm X College employee. They both received the prestigious 2007 Veterans Day “Courage Under Fire“ award. |
