Identification (ID)
Faculty, Staff, Students and Visitors are required to have an ID. Every person entering the building is required to show an up to date ID or sign in with a valid State Identification Card. Persons signing in will let the Security Officer know where they are going in the building. The Security Officer must make an assessment about the person requesting entry into the campus and review any other photo identification if a State Identification is not available. If a person can not show proper identification, then they are not allowed excess to Malcolm X College.
When the building is closed no one should be allowed in the building without having a building authorization form on file or in his or her hand. In the case of an emergency it is the discretion of the Lead Officer Supervisor to allow an employee to come in and access their office. Any abnormal office access to the building will be escorted by security. On Sundays everyone entering the building will sign in with a valid State or School Identification. Photo Identifications can be obtained from the Photo ID Station located outside the Security Office (room 1208 ext. 7168)
Students: In order to obtain a photo ID, students need to have the following:
- A current validated semester registration.
- Another form of photo identification such as: valid Drivers License, valid State ID, Passport or Consular ID.
Student Identification will be worn in the building.
Faculty/staff: In order to obtain a photo ID, Faculty and Staff need to have the following:
- Another form of identification such as: valid Drivers License or State Identification.
- Letter of introduction from the Human Resources Department or the Department Head of the employees department.
Faculty/Staff and are required to have a valid Malcolm X College identification.
If the Malcolm X College Identification card is lost or stolen a fee of $10.00 will have to be paid at the Business Office before a new card is issued.
