Malcolm X College’s Continuing Education Department will empower students to cultivate respect for self and others by offering opportunities for life-long personal and social development while establishing and achieving educational, personal, and career goals through a personalized learning model which provides multiple learning environments both within and beyond the classroom.
Goals

• To provide quality, practical, competency-based workforce education programs that are recognized as the best of their kind
• To support and encourage the pursuit of intellectual and personal growth through comprehensive life-long learning course offerings
• Developing programs in a professional manner through needs assessment; program delivery; assessment; and fiscal accountability
• Work with a variety of external agencies and individuals to provide relevant, timely and useful access to learning
• Offering high quality instruction using a variety of delivery formats including online teaching and learning that make education available “wherever and whenever” students require it
