Malcolm X College Adult Education Mission Statement


The Mission of the Adult Education Department at Malcolm X College is to empower students to live and contribute effectively to the world in which they live through improved literacy, completion of secondary education and enhanced proficiency of
the English Language.

 

VISION STATEMENT

 

Malcolm X College’s Adult Education Program is the premier in adult learning where students successfully transition from Adult Education classes to Career Programs and ultimately achieve academic and employment success.

GOALS

1.
Assist adults in becoming literate and obtaining the knowledge and skills necessary for employment and self-sufficiency;
2.
Assist adults who are parents in obtaining the educational skills necessary to become full partners in the educational development of their children;
3.
Assist adults in the completion of a secondary school education;
4.
Assist adults whose primary language is not English in becoming fluent in speaking, writing and reading the English language.
