Picture of Blackboard LogoThe City Colleges of Chicago has made available an online service designed to enhance communication between students and instructors called Blackboard. It is a Web based community portal that allows you as an instructor the ability to upload course material to the internet.

The City Colleges of Chicago Blackboard Server is now integrated with My.CCC.edu (SA) and other systems.

What does this mean for students?
Students must now use their Student Username to login to Blackboard (which they already use for My.CCC.edu and Student Email . Students will be automatically enrolled or dropped from their Blackboard Courses based on their registrations.

What does this mean for faculty?
Faculty members will be automatically enrolled or dropped from their Blackboard Courses based on their assignment in My.CCC.edu. It is very important to check My.CCC.edu and confirm your assignment in courses. If you are not listed as the instructor for the course you are requesting you will not have access to the course in Blackboard. Contact the Office of Instruction at 312-850-7140 or alopez@ccc.edu to have My.CCC.edu updated. Once you are listed as the instructor, you can use your Novell Username (which you already use to login to on-campus PC's and MyFaculty.ccc.edu) to login to Blackboard. All instructors have access to Blackboard. Your courses will not become available until you request a course site (shell).

Faculty Blackboard support Web site.

Don't know your Novell Username?
Use this online username look-up if you do not know your Novell Username or Password.
