Student Success Center
Welcome to the Student Success Center, the place where you can obtain academic advising, learn about degree requirements, get transfer information, or simply talk through your educational options.
A wide range of advising and transfer services are offered at the Center. If you’re uncertain about a career choice, academic advisers can help. They have an array of career interest, personality and other assessments at their disposal to guide you in the decision-making process.
For those who intend to pursue a bachelor’s degree, the Student Success Center has catalogs, applications and course equivalency listings to help facilitate your transition to a four year institution.
Students receive one-on-one advising from college representatives, visit college campuses and obtain scholarship and admission information. The Center has resource materials to help you select the college or university that best fits you. Staff follow-up on Center users, keeping them abreast of application deadlines, college representative visits, Open Houses, scholarship opportunities, and their progress toward meeting specific admission criteria for the colleges or universities to which they want to transfer.
Malcolm X College supports the Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI). We are your link to a smooth transition from Malcolm X College to IAI-participating institutions in the state. SSC staff will explain how to use the agreement to guarantee that your coursework will transfer and apply directly to your bachelor’s degree.
