MISSION
The Academic Support Center (ASC) housed in the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Services assist students in successfully completing credit, pre-credit and non-credit courses. A variety of services are available to help students achieve their goals.

The Academic Support Center (ASC) is here to assist you!. The Center has over 20 professionally trained tutors and support staff to assist students in various subject areas.The Tutor Schedule is below. Stay on the right track by taking advantage of these FREE services EARLY!!!

THE SERVICES
TUTORING - Via small groups or person to person – The services of master and peer tutors are available in the ASC. Tutoring is free, upon request, to all students in many subjects taught at Malcolm X College. Click the link to the left for the tutoring schedule.
WORKSHOPS - Study skills, test taking skills, etc. – The center periodically conducts study skills workshops that include, but are not limited to Test-Taking Skills, Effective Note-Taking Techniques, Resource Management, and Memory Improvement.
PC LAB –The students and community residents have the ability to complete homework assignments, do educational research through the Internet, and communicate responsibly via electronic messaging.
Service Request Form
The attached Service Request Form is required to reserve lab space in the ASC. Please submit your reservations ASAP, as the Center has seen a dramatic increase in service requests. Due to the high volume of requests, each faculty member will be allowed four (4) initial reservations per semester.
Additional computer space can be reserved through Facilities.
