Disability Access Center
The Disability Access Center (DAC) is responsible for the coordination and provision of supportive services to students with documented disabilities. Accommodations are made based on the documentation received and the needs of the student. Accommodations are designed to ensure that students, who are otherwise qualified, receive equal access to all of the College’s programs and services.

Requesting Accommodations
- Schedule an appointment to meet with the Director of the Disability Access Center to complete Student Intake Summary.
- Request for accommodations should be made 30 days prior to enrollment to ensure services are provided in a timely manner.
- Students must request accommodations each semester.
- Students who have disabilities and may need assistance exiting the building in the event of an evacuation should bring a copy of their class schedules to the Disability Access Center (DAC). Locations of the students’ with disabilities are kept in the Office of Public Safety and Security to ensure that the Fire Department can locate and assist students during an evacuation.
What documentation is needed?
- Documentation must be prepared by an appropriate professional, such as a medical doctor, psychologist or other qualified diagnostician.
- Documentation must be submitted on original letterhead of the professional diagnosing the disability.
- The required documentation must include the following:
- A diagnosis of your current disability.
- The date of the diagnosis.
- The credentials of the professional.
- How your disability affects a major life activity.
- How the disability affects your academic performance.
- The documentation should provide enough information for you and your school to decide what is an appropriate academic adjustment.
Eligibility
- Students with documented disabilities are eligible to receive services.
