Who is Eligible for Financial Aid
To be eligible for most federal and state financial aid programs for attendance at Malcolm X College you must adhere to the following general requirements and responsibilities.
- Submit a correct or correctable SAR/ISIR indicating Malcolm X (School Code 001650) as your choice school within submission deadline dates
- Be enrolled in a degree or eligible certificate program
Complete a CCC Financial Aid Authorization Form (for Book Voucher eligibility) - Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress
Not be in default of any federal loan program - Not owe a refund or overpayment on any federal aid program
Be compliance with ability to benefit requirements (high school graduation or GED completion/placement test scores) - Have not received a bachelors degree
- Complied with Title IV regulations concerning drug convictions (Contact 1-800-4-FED-AID for details)
- Report a valid social security number on your FAFSA
- Have complied with Selective Service registration requirements (Applies to male applicants only)
- Respond to all request for information/documentation from the Financial Aid Office
- Notify the Registrar by officially withdrawing when you stop attending class
