College Credit Transfer Programs
Associate In Arts (AA) Degree
The Associate in Arts (AA) degree is designed to prepare students for transfer into Bachelor of Arts programs at four-year colleges and universities.Associate In General Studies (AGS) Degree
Malcolm X College’s comprehensive educational program merges opportunities for intellectual, cultural, and social growth with specialized training. Students in all degree programs are required to take courses in communication, mathematics, biological sciences, humanities, the physical and social sciences. These courses constitute the General Education Core (GEC).Associate In Science (AS) Degree

As the Beacon College for Health Science Education in the City of Chicago, Malcolm X College is at the forefront of meeting the growing health care needs of the community. In that capacity, Malcolm X College offers the largest selection of Health Science (Career) Degrees and Certificate programs in Cook County. The Mission of the Adult Education Department at Malcolm X College is to empower students to live and contribute effectively to the world in which they live through improved literacy, completion of secondary education and enhanced proficiency of the English Language.
The Workforce Institute
The Workforce Institute of the City Colleges of Chicago acts as a "point of entry" to the many training and education services available through the seven City Colleges especially designed to meet the needs of Chicago companies. Continuing Education
Malcolm X College’s Continuing Education Department will empower students to cultivate respect for self and others by offering opportunities for life-long personal and social development while establishing and achieving educational, personal, and career goals through a personalized learning model which provides multiple learning environments both within and beyond the classroom.
Personalized Curriculum Institute (PCI)
The Personalized Curriculum Institute (PCI) is designed to help students who need extra academic skill development to be successful in college-level courses.The Personalized Curriculum Institute provides assistance to students with deficiencies in requisite college-level math, writing and reading skills. This
Institute uses accelerated teaching practices to remediate problem areas rapidly.TRIO College Prep
The Federal TRIO Programs are educational opportunity outreach programs designed to motivate and support students from disadvantaged backgrounds. TRIO includes six outreach and support programs targeted to serve and assist low-income, first-generation college students, and students with disabilities to progress through the academic pipeline from middle school to post-baccalaureate programs.
